Padmavati retitled Padmaavat full movie leaked online: Controversial film Padmaavat was leaked online after the movie was live streamed on a Facebook page.

Padmaavat full movie leaked online: It sounds nearly unbelievable but it’s true. Controversial film Padmaavat was leaked online after the movie was live streamed on a Facebook page. According to various media reports, a Facebook page named Jaaton Ka Adda live streamed the film through its account. The Facebook page went live from inside the theatre when the Padmaavat was being screened. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film, which was originally titled “Padmavati”, got mired in controversy as soon as the filmmaker started shooting for the project and things took an ugly turn after the first trailer of the movie was released last year. The movie was scheduled to release on December 1, but the makers had to postpone the date after the censor board returned the movie to the producers citing “technical issues” in the certification form. The set of the movie was vandalised twice — in Jaipur and Kolhapur, while its director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was roughed up by members of the Karni Sena last year.

A Facebook page named Jaaton Ka Adda live streamed the film through its account.

Meanwhile, as protests against the screening of “Padmaavat” raged at several places, the Centre on Thursday made it clear that maintenance of law and order is the responsibility of state governments. The states, which have witnessed violence, should deploy Rapid Action Force, which is trained to handle such mob protests, a senior Home Ministry official said. Maintenance of the law and order is the responsibility of the state governments and the central government has nothing to do with it except providing central forces, the official said requesting anonymity. Armed wing of the state police should also be deployed wherever there are possibilities of mob violence or protests against the film, the official said.

The film was cleared by censor board in India earlier this year and was given ‘U/A’ certificate. The board also suggested five modifications including the title change from ‘Padmavati’ to ‘Padmaavat’. The film, which hit the theaters today, is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles and is based on the saga of a historic battle of 13th century between Maharaja Ratan Singh and his army of Mewar and Sultan Alauddin Khilji of Delhi.

Padmaavat box office collection day 10: Movie collects Rs 192.50 crore

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat has been creating magic at the box office ever since its release on January 25. And now with a smooth 10-day run at BO, the period drama has collected a whopping Rs 192.50 crore.

The Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer earned Rs 16 crore on its second Saturday, taking the total collection to Rs 192.50 crore. The film might soon hit the Rs 200 crore mark. Padmaavat had run into a lot of trouble prior to its release with a few fringe outfits, who had issues with the movie’s content and its depiction of Queen Padmavati. From the film’s name being changed to lead star Deepika’s midriff being covered using special effects; the movie has been attracting a lot of attention for quite a while now.

Indianexpress.com’s film critic Shubhra Gupta had given the movie a 2.5 star and had written in her review of the movie, “If it hadn’t been for the extreme reactions from a bunch of extreme reactionaries-cum-buffoons which nearly derailed the release the film, Padmaavat would have been just another Bhansali extravaganza, full of costumery and puffery. But given that all art is political, even if it is dressed up art, Padmaavat becomes more than it is, because the director chooses to heavily outline the vileness of his antagonist, and underline the ‘pati-vrata ness’ of Rani Padmavati.”

“Far from any subtle touches, Bhansali’s black-and-white delineation of the good Hindu and the bad Muslim (who could also, gasp, swing both ways) is so stark that we are left with no illusion about which part of the political firmament he wants to be on the right side of.”

Padmaavat has been going strong at the box office, but only time will tell if it manages to keep all the money in its pocket after Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan hits theaters on February 9. Akshay had shifted the release date of his movie to let Bhansali’s Padmaavat breathe freely at the box office. Earlier, both the films were supposed to release on January 25.
